In order to mark the centenary of Auguste Rodin’s death (1840-1917), the Musée Rodin and Réunion des musées nationaux Grand Palais has organised a comprehensive exhibition entitled "Rodin: The Centennial Exhibition". As stated in the booklet accompanying the program, the exhibition reveals Rodin’s creative universe, his relationship with his audience and the way in which sculptors appropriated his style. Featuring over 200 of Rodin’s works, it also includes sculptures and drawings by Bourdelle, Meštrović, Brancusi, Picasso, Matisse, Giacometti, Beuys, Baselitz and Gormley, shedding new light on his oeuvre and its significance.

Alongside the exhibition opening, an international colloquium entitled "Rodin: Shockwave" had been organised. Participating in the colloquium in the Auditorium of the Grand Palais in Paris, Barbara Vujanović had the floor by bringing and analyzing examples of Rodin’s influence on Croatian artists during the first half of the twentieth century.
